What’s in a naME?
A wise Professor at Geneva College once taught me,
Careful what you name your child,
‘Cause’ that’s what they’ll grow up to be!
Search your Bible carefully for a strong Biblical naME,
Knowing what I know now, I would’ve certainly done the same.
When you pick for your child, a naME out of a hat,
Expect very little from them, and you get just that!
But when you select a Biblical naME for your son you see,
He’ll grow into that strong man that you expect him to be!
And remember to do the same,
While giving your daughter, her Biblical naME,
She’ll too grow in grace, so lady like, and also brings the family no shame!
Be sure you select a smart naME that commands attention,
Only then, can they ‘march’ into college, free of tuition.
Finally, make sure you select a naME that truly counts,
They then choose who they become, Preacher, Teacher, Dr., Lawyer,
And Parents those titles do mount!
So what’s in a naME?
PARENTS, LOOK CLOSE AND YOU’LL SOON SEE;
YOU WONDER WHY THESE CHILDREN ACT OUT,
WELL THEIR JUST BEING WHAT ‘YOU’ SELECTED THEM TO BE,
ME!
